Once you have your boat from Duffy, you can take a trip out to the islands off the coast of Newport Beach. There are eight islands to choose from.
Of course, you can just take a cruise around the islands, or you can dock and get out to explore. The most popular ones are the Balboaands, which is comprised of three islands- Balboa, Little Balboa, and Collins Island. The other islands are restricted to residential areas.
The Balboa Islands are very family-friendly, with plenty of shopping, art, and restaurants with fresh local seafood and produce on offer. Santa Catalina Island is a beautiful destination island to cruise out to on the boat. Even better are the California Channel Islands!
